Laws of Schendi
Law 1: Port Schendi is a trading Port with open trade to all with trade agreements with us. So no cities name shall be slandered within the Ports borders.
Law 2:The attempted or actual theft of the Home Stone :
Punishment: extreme torture followed by death in boiling oil.
Law 3: If a Free does not stand when speaking of his own Home Stone:
Punishment: You MAY POSSIBLY be slain by any present and they are exempt from punishment for it
Law 4: It is illegal to make a map of the City:
Punishment: Sold as slave to a sailing vessel
Law 5: Failure to perform the citizenship ceremony within one year of reaching your intellectual majority,if born within the city or to citizens of the city:
Punishment: Expulsion from the city.
Law 6: If a locksmith, usually a member of the Metal Workers, makes an unauthorized copy of a key:
Punishment: Sold into slavery or Impalement
Law 7: Entering the city without permission with the exception of the following:
-Members of the Castes of Players, Poets, Musicians and Singers may freely enter.
-Assassins, when bearing the mark of the black dagger on their forehead, are permitted entrance into the city without interference.
-Heralds, bearing a gold slash on the left temple of their helmet or headgear, are immune from interference by any within the city.
-Ambassadors and Emissaries may freely enter
Punishment: Death by impalement.
Law 8: All outlaws are forbidden entrance into the city and subject to impalement.
Law 9: Forgery of an official city seal on mercantile products is illegal.
Punishment: Loss of hand
