Welcome to Schendi
Schendi is known to be the largest port of Gor, offering several varieties of exports from slaves to jewels.
Schendi is located just south Equator on the peninsula banks of the Thassa. Most know they are soon approaching the harbor of Schendi simply from the brown waters stained from sediment, rotting vegitation and spices flowing from the Kamba and Nyoka rivers, both of which exit at Schendi.
The Wildlife around Schendi is vast due to its proximity to the lush jungles that surround much of the city.
The harbor of Schendi is about eight pasangs wide and three pasangs deep and the city itself is surrounded by double palisade walls to protect herself from outsiders as she is a vital port to Merchants and Traders from all of Gor.
Schendi is a major export hub of Gor. Schendi itself exports a number of products that are unique to the city, such as Kailiauk leather and horns, spices of all sorts, Palm Wine and many varieties of Sapphires. The Sapphires, are often carved into tiny panthers and other animals.
The population of Schendi is said to be about a million people, most of which are blacks, but there are many different races who live and trade within the city walls. Additionally, Schendi is the home port of the infamous League of Black Slavers. The League is an organized group of pirates, who are known for slaving and cruelty. Generally the Slavers restrict their pirating and slaving far from the waters of Schendi, then bringing the captured slaves to the city to be sold in one of the many popular markets within the city.
